Tiger Lily Embroidery Design From 1916

The tiger lily embroidery pattern below was originally published in a newspaper in 1916.

The description reads:

On the page today is given a tiger lily design which is most effective when applied to waists. Detail drawings show method of working.

In using the printed design from the paper the directions are as follows: If your material is sheer, the easiest way is to lay it over the design, which will show through plainly, and trace each line carefully with a hard, shard lead pencil. If your linen is heavy, secure a piece of transfer or impression paper – the kind that does not rub off – lay it on the material face downward, place the design over it, and trace with a hard pencil. On removing the design and transfer paper you will find a neat and accurate copy of the design on the material.
