Conspiracy theories are nothing new and neither is the belief that the government is owned by the
über wealthy corporations. In the early 1900s, the steel, beef, and factory owners held a firm grip on the government. Today, it is a new class of wealth that whispers into the ears of our selected government officials. Or so people say.
Who Is The Real U.S. Government?
Did you notice how calm the government is when arresting millionaires like the beef barons, and how excited it gets when hunting down workingmen?
Government officials are not only kind, gentle and considerate with millionaires when they violate the law, but also very apologetic. But when workingmen are charged with some violation of the law, they are hunted down like wild animals.
We don’t know, of course, whether the labor leaders just arrested are guilty or innocent. But everybody knows that for days the trust newspapers have been getting inside information, and printing the names of the men the government expected to indict.
And then it was all arranged for a round-up. All of the indicted workingmen were arrested on the same day, so as to make a big story for the newspapers.
While on the face of things the government is acting for the people, the most interesting concern is the steel trust.
In order to maintain slavery in the steel business, the steel trust must prevent organization of workingmen in every branch of the steel trade.
And every other trust is interested in having the steel trust victorious in its war against labor.
For it is a war of extermination.
When you come to think of it, the government shows more zeal in prosecuting workingmen for transporting dynamite from one state to another, than it does in prosecuting millionaire beef barons for robbing all of the people in all of the states by establishing a food monopoly and boosting the cost of living.
Is the steel trust with J.P. Morgan at its head, the real government of the United States?
