While there are latex “human skin” coats on the market for thrill seekers, I did find an actual report of a real coat made from the skin of criminals. The coat buttons were made from human bones.
Article published in 1906:
“Books bound with human skin are rare, but the possession of Signor Goffredo is surely unique. It consists of a coat made from the tanned kids of criminals and others, which this eccentric gentleman has been at no inconsiderable trouble and expense to collect.
“No fewer than 57 bodies have contributed to this gruesome garments, whereof, that the whole may be in keeping, the buttons, carved to represent death beads, are cut from human bones.”

I believe this coat would have put Ed Gein to shame.
