So far, I have covered several different types of doll pincushions from the past. Here is yet another one but instead of making a cushion, the dress you make for her is the pincushion. It’s a cute idea and vaguely reminiscent of the toilet roll dolls that were popular back in the seventies.

Pincushion Lady
Yes, of course, you have seen pincushion ladies before. But have you seen one just like this?
You can buy the lady without her clothes. Then you can easily dress her, given this sketch for an idea and some scraps of ribbon and lace for carrying out the idea.
Over her wire hooped body, use some wide satin ribbon. A discarded hair ribbon may answer the purpose. Then over that drape an overskirt finished with lace in the manner shown.
