Mr. J.D. Work, of Brown’s Summit, Guilford county, reports a wonderful light seen by him one morning last week at about 5 o’clock, after the moon had gone down. He, in company with his wife, were on their way to Greensboro when suddenly a light appeared in the sky in the southeast so brilliant that one could have seen to pick up a pin. The strange phenomenon came and went at intervals of about a minute, and lasted altogether about five minutes.
