Chick And Rabbit Topsy Turvy Paper Cutouts

The chick and rabbit topsy turvy turnover comes from a time when newspapers would regularly publish a page or two just for the kids. This particular paper project comes from The Washington Times, published April 30, 1922.

Directions:

Cut out and turn up all the heads on the lines A. Fold at X and paste the part of the egg showing in the front view of the rabbit to the back part of the egg showing in the bottom picture of chick. Paste the part of the egg showing in the back view of the rabbit to the part of the egg showing in the upper picture of the chick. Cut away the letters and paste the front and back of the rabbit’s head together; then paste the two heads of the chick together. Dry thoroughly. Hold the bunny by the bottom of his leg (?), turn over – and you will have the chick.

The instructions above, as they were published, make very little sense, but the egg designs are cute and would be great for popsicle puppets for Easter.
