The embroidery pattern below was for towels and guest towels. The pattern was originally printed in 1915.
The text reads:
Today’s illustration below is an embroidery design of towel end for guest towels or various other uses. It may be copied from this paper thus: If your material is sheer the simplest method is to lay the material over the design below and with a sharply pointed pencil draw over each line. If the material is heavy, secure from any stationary store a piece of carbon impression paper. Lay it face down on the design below, then draw over each line of the paper design with a hard pencil or the point of a knitting needle.
