On November 12, 2025, the Chester County History Center is inviting true crime fans and history lovers to step into the jury box for True Crime on Trial, a live event at the One Under Bar & Grill at Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford, Pennsylvania.
This interactive program digs deep into one of Chester County’s most controversial historic trials. Using real trial transcripts, newspaper reports, and original evidence, the event challenges the audience to weigh the facts, deliberate, and decide: did the jury get it right?

Unlike a dry lecture, this evening promises to be a full-bodied experience. Attendees can enjoy craft beer, cocktails, and pub fare while hearing the case unfold. But be warned: the content isn’t for the faint of heart. The story involves graphic injuries, mentions of self-harm, and domestic violence.
The team of historians from the Chester County History Center (CCHC) will guide participants through the crime, the investigation, and the verdict. Then, after the audience delivers its decision, the hosts will reveal the real outcome from the historical record.
Tickets for this event can be ordered online at the Chester County History Center.
