These instructions for making a case for scissors were originally published in 1907.
What I love most about the newspapers from the early 1900s is that they often had simple household crafts in them that can sometimes be used in today’s world. For example, this scissor case could be made from leather or a stiff felt. It can be used to store a good pair of scissors, such as your sewing scissors, and it will protect the scissors from getting dinged up.
If you are a prepper or you just like being prepared for “just in case,” extra pairs of scissors are a necessity and a simple hand sewn case will protect your extra scissors far better than the crappy plastic case they came in.
Personally, I would make the case in a neon felt (I lose things easily) and use leather for the tip.
