Strange Light in Sky Mystifying to Peasants of France

Angers, France, Dec. 23. – Superstitious peasants of this district who were preparing to celebrate Christmas, were mystified by a huge bright light which appeared in the heavens the past two days, asking “is it the new Star of Bethlehem?” The meteorological service is puzzled and unable to explain the prolonged presence, attributing it to a meteor swarm.
